DESCRIPTION:
The works consist of the redevelopment of Ayala Street in the town of Don Benito increasing accessibility to it and showing a more modern design. The works include increasing the width of the pavements to an average width of 3.5 m, the installation of a two-way cycle lane 250 cm wide, a 7.40 m roadway with one lane for each direction of traffic, a herringbone parking area with areas reserved for loading and unloading, motorbike parking and parking spaces adapted for PRM. Rubbish containers will also be buried in two areas of the street and a new separate drainage system for rainwater will be installed under the road, as well as the replacement or adaptation of the water supply network, electricity supply, gas supply and irrigation and electricity lines for street lighting. Finally, new trees, street furniture and street lighting will be installed, as well as all the signposting, both vertical and horizontal, necessary for the correct use and understanding of the operation of the road by pedestrians, cyclists and drivers.
