DESCRIPTION: The purpose of the sanitation improvement project in El Portil is to repair the sanitation network damaged by storms. To this end, two pumping stations will be built (EBAR 1 and EBAR 2), which will collect the wastewater from nearby homes and pump it through high-density polyethylene (HDPE) pipes to a new gravity sewer. The stations will be equipped with grinder pumps and will have remote control systems to facilitate operation and maintenance. In addition, new 400 mm diameter PVC sewers will be installed, and the connections to the affected houses will be reorganized. Drainage improvements will also be carried out (new gutters and drainage wells). The project includes the replacement of the damaged pavements with a layer of concrete and asphalt in the affected areas, as well as the replacement of the affected services (electrical networks, telecommunications, etc.).
