DESCRIPTION: The water tank adaptation project in SAU-7 El Machorro, Medina Sidonia, seeks to increase the storage capacity of drinking water through the construction of a second tank and the demolition of the wall separating the existing tanks, creating a common faucet chamber for joint or individual operation. The works include the foundation and construction of reinforced concrete walls 7.30 m high and 0.70 m thick, together with the waterproofing of the roof by means of a double layer with a 1% slope. Hydraulic systems will be installed with ductile cast iron pipes of 200 mm delivery and 250 mm discharge, all with nominal pressure PN16, as well as valves for filling and discharge control. In addition, a chlorination system will be implemented in accordance with current regulations and automated control systems using a PLC connected to SCADA to supervise tank operation. The surrounding area will be urbanized with paving, Hercules mesh enclosures and concrete gutters for storm drainage.
